sights: la griffith observatory

i have to admit. although born and raised in la, there are quite few things that i have not experienced. one of those things, i can actually check off now. finally - been there, done that: los angeles griffith observatory.

i grew up just a few minutes north of this location in glendale. i spent weekends as a kid, riding the trains and horses in travel town. i've seen concerts at the greek. but until today, i've never trekked a few miles north. maybe it's because it was closed for a while due to reconstruction.
