baby: luciano ceniza

it's been 16 days since the birth of baby luciano ceniza.  his wonderful parents are lougil and autumn ceniza.  lou and i had the great experience of meeting at loyola marymount university.  we've kept in touch since then and it was a pleasure to be asked to take photos of his baby.

it was my first time at his newport beach place, and with all the +100 degree heat, it was such a nice change. compared to where we live in orange, it was about 15 degrees cooler - heaven.  still warm, but bearable. but my main concern was baby luciano and making sure he was a comfortable as can be.

when i arrived, there was luciano, hanging out on the mechanical swing, enjoying the breeze.  without a care in the world, all he wants to do is sleep, eat, sleep eat, etc.

lougil is a huge basketball fan, and was watching the 1986 slam dunk competition.  and when it came for getting props for baby luciano, he brought out baby chuck taylor and jordans to put on.  lou also has a love for hats and watches.  the coolest prop was his plush porsche.  when baby luciano was born, lougil need a bigger car, so he had to get rid of his real porsche. but the one thing that no one has in a autographed boxing glove of the greatest filipino boxer of all time, manny "the pac man" pacquiao!

it felt great to be back on the pitch.  this was a considered a "tryout." too bad i injured myself 30 minutes into it.  now i remembered why i stopped playing.

real estate: boschetti / hall residence - orange CA

on behalf of my good friends brent boschetti and liz hall, "welcome home."  brent and liz are roommates and we all graduated from loyola marymount university.  they just live up the street from me in orange (ca), and were interested in having photos taken of their home as they are thinking of either selling or renting.  if you're interested, please let me know and i will gladly pass your information to them.  at the same time, brent is dabbling into the possibility of becoming an interior designer.  as you can see from the photos, he has quite an eye for creativity.

proposal: franco marenin asks for brigitte gonzalez's hand

franco marenin finally proposes to brigitte gonzalez! this wonderful event took place aboard the "the curlew" vessel in dana point, ca. it couldn't have been more properly executed.  surrounded by both his and her families, this was such a memorable occasion.  franco did such an awesome job!

sports: san francisco giants v milwaukee brewers - at&t park (san francisco)

for the record, i am a los angeles dodgers fan.  i know this to be true because even though they suck this year, i still support them.  with that being said, i am a baseball fan and i can honestly say that at&t park is one of the nicest ballfields in the country compared to the other ones that i have been to.

he proposed at the stadium.  how could she say no on camera in front of 50,000 fans?

grub: anqi by crustacean - gourmet bistro / noodle bar

today celebrates another year of existence on this earth.  i've been blessed.  a wonderful family, great friends, good health.  everything else doesn't really matter.  my wife and i had dinner at anqi, a spin off of the famed crustaceans.  delicious.
